It probably sticks and lets too much air in with the gas. Check the manual choke. Four months means it is still under warrantee so take it back and get them to check it. Find out exactly what the problem is for future reference. I sure hope it isn't a craftsman. They may reccommend replacing the engine. DON"T LETUM small engines have a carburetor.
