Can you repair a normal lawn mower ignition by putting it in the oven?

I heard from some where that the coil in the lawn mower(part that produces the spark) fails to produce spark you can put it in the oven for around 20 minutes at 300 f and then it will work.
To William B what do you mean if it is wet

    if its wet , at 150 deg
    other wise replace it
