Help with Cub Cadet rideing mower?

It has no spark. I have checked things like the wires, etc. I have a new magneto purchased. How in the world do you get at the thing? There is a shaft that goes through the schroud to the pump and this cover is very close to a fire wall. It is a Kohler uprright engine on it. Is there anyone out there that has ever tinkered with theirs? I got a model number and stuff like that off the engine but I don't know how accurate it is. I was trying to read the number with a mirror. I will send those ten points with all kinds of stars off to anyone with a good engine. And I know I really should have a Wheel Horse. Thanks........

Many years since I did anything with one of these.
Rebuilt the engine with Dad. Must have been 30 years ago or so. Re-babbited the bearings and everything. IH Cub Cadet with a Kohler engine.
If you e-mail me the numbers from the engine, I can try to look it up for you. I had good luck finding what I needed for my welder with a Tecumseh engine. One they don't make anymore.
