How do I turn on the GCV160 Honda Lawn mower?

Okay before you say I'm stupid it isn't mine and the one I have at home is completely different. It has the clutch at the handle bar, the cord that you yank up on and a "choke" lever and a small valve with a picture of a gas pump and an X going over it that you can twist, with OFF printed above it....

Okay so PLEASE help ASAP!!!! Thank you.

    Does the choke lever have a pumping action? In other words, when you turn the lever back and forth, does it feel like you’re pumping something? If so, the way to start that kind of engine is to turn on the gas and pump the choke about 3 times and pull the cord hard and fast. It should start instantly. If not, pull the cord hard and fast several times. If still not, try pumping the choke some more. Be sure it has plenty of gas. If it still won’t start, it probably needs a tune up.
