how to drain gas from push mower?

the problem with the mower is it won't stay running.

    Don’t listen to the guy that has the avatar in the red jacket

    First you take off the fuel line and drain into a pan then you take the bolt off the carburetor to drain the excess

    Remove the fuel tank from the mower and clean; also remove the float cover located under the carburetor.

    That should do it
