I have a brand new Toro LX500 riding mower. The drive pedal suddenly lost all tension.?

I have a brand new Toro LX500 riding mower. The drive pedal suddenly lost all tension. The tractor moves very slowly with the pedal depressed all the way. Any ideas?

    If it is new take it to your Toro Dealer. This is a warranty issue, and they will fix it for free. Find one at http://www.toro.com

    Sounds like a spring holding the tensioning pully came loose or broke. Your owner's manual should have the diagrams for the belts. You will have to lay down and look under the mower to find the problem.
