This will test the starter pull rope. If it does spin the motor and oil comes out the plug hole, you have flooded the engine with oil. Spin it until all the oil is clear, then put the plug back in and try it. If the motor will not spin with the plug out, you have a serious engine problem. Another probability: The pull cord may have jumped off the pulley and hung up. Take the rope starter off the engine and free it up. Take the spark plug out and then try pulling the starter rope. This will test the starter pull rope. If it does spin the motor and oil comes out the plug hole, you have flooded the engine with oil. Spin it until all the oil is clear, then put the plug back in and try it. If the motor will not spin with the plug out, you have a serious engine problem.

Another probability: The pull cord may have jumped off the pulley and hung up. Take the rope starter off the engine and free it up.
