John Deere?

I have a John Deere riding mower. No warranty. So what's the best oil I can run in it? Someone told me your basic 10 w 30 car oil is good. True ??

    You can run synthetic in it, since it doesn't hold that much and the cost would be insignificant.

    Yes,it's true.Although if you want to I would run a straight 30 weight as it will give you better lubrication and then I would run 10w30 for winter for easier starting
