Lawn mowers – are there any without troublesome speed governors?

Automatic speed governors on mowers must be one of the most stupid ideas ever applied. Are there any mowers on the Australian market without these worthless accessories?

    Ken, Get yourself an electric mower. NO noise problems and just as good as the petrol, noise squad. I have had one for 5 years and will buy another. Make sure you have an earth leakage detector fitted to your mains supply. They are as safe as petrol mowers, if not safer if handled correctly. No more running to the Servo to buy fuel.
