It happens all the time. Let it dry out in the sunshine a few hours and try again.

if you let it dry until tomorrow and it still doeskin start then it needs the carburetor cleaned. the float bowl has water in it. if you don’t get it free of water soon it will rust from the inside.
    dont do that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea gas would help. replace the spark plugs and make sure the carborator is dry. if it is then prime it with gasoline. if that dont work then get a new one

Go down the pub and have a couple of glasses of beer and a cigar, perhaps. Maybe a hooker on the side might finish the night. Forget the mower, have a good time instead.

The air filter got soaked with water restricting the air flow and causing a rich condition one too rich to start the mower. Remove the air filter and let it dry or better yet just replace it. Remove the sparkplug and crank the engine / pull the starter cord to clear out excess fuel, reinstall the sparkplug and air filter you should be good to go.
