Riding lawnmower carb changed, now spitting gas out?

Just changed my carbon a V2 Briggs and stration engine it starts and runs but not right it spits gas all over and when I pull out the gas line it then will run rigght for a few seckends untill it runs out of gas. Whats wrong?
