seems to be a leak in the gas tank of my lawnmower. its a plastic tank,craftsman lawnmower. can i seal it?

i doubt they make replacement gas tanks but it seems like a shame to have to scrap an otherwise good lawnmower because of a removable gas tank. can i get replacement parts for a 5 year old lawnmower?
