Self propelled lawn mower won’t stop moving forward?
When it's off, the front wheels (propelling wheels) are locked, and when I turn it on, the self-propelling won't shut off like it should. I can live w/it, but would like to know what 2 do 2 fix it myself if I can. It's a Scotts 3-in-1, obv. self-propelled, 22" IDK the rest of the mower's ID, if it helps anyone.
What's the control cable? Where would that come from or go to?

you could have build up on the switch which pulls the cable just enough to make the lawnmower "think" that your initiating self propell, when you lift the bar to activate the self propel does the cable move back and forth smoothly? if not then thats it
the control cable is disconnected at the switch or the other end, dismantle and inspect ,,,,,,,,,,,look at the wheels end first
The control cable is activated by hand controls at the handle bar usually in conjuntion with the blade/engine control…It runs down to the shift arm on the gear box
