Where do I buy gas for a lawnmower?

Is the regular gas from the gas station good or do I have to buy gas specific to lawnmower engines?
I don't understand what's so funny...
Okay I understand for you rich people this is common sense, but for us poor people who worked decades to finally have a front yard in their home, this might not be.
