Why does my Cub Cadet riding lawn mower keep quitting?

It will run for about 5 min. and then quit. After it quits, it won't start up again untill it cools down.

    how old is it? the ignition could be breaking down causing it to loose spark when it gets to operating temp. which happens Quickly on an air cooled engine

    check your fuel grade , and keep it cleen of sheeet

    You might want to clean or replace your carburetor air cleaner might be clogged and and starving for air good luck Les the painter Oh yeah you've got a low oil shut off on those units so make sure the oil is up and if not add a little at a time to be sure you DON"T OVER FILL.
